We're not afraid to pin a definition on this decades-old single malt, which comes from recent yet so very different days, so changed and far removed from the world we know today: PERFECTION. What is perfection? Or rather, what is it that sums up perfection, what feeling, what sentiment?… Gratification? Being sated? Or being happy? Inner peace or being at peace with the world? The smile of a newborn baby or that of a grandparent who hears time’s winged chariot hurrying near… We urge and implore you never to be superficial, but to be exactly and obsessively precise, just as a minute is precisely sixty seconds… a week precisely seven days… a kilometre precisely 1000 metres… That is why we do this job, because we want to continue to deceive ourselves that the act of creation before self-gratification helps us to live better. We close our eyes and let this spirit engage us. A vast plain seems to stretch as far as the eye can see. We are struck by a cocktail of flowers and iodine, blown across the fields by the wind. An intriguing bouquet combines scents of heather and pressed powder with salty notes and seaweed. Thanks to ageing, it offers us the weight density of that time we need to learn to find again. The experience of this single malt shows how in the farthest-flung corners of the world, there is still a determination to create something truly outstanding to satisfy one’s own ego. Something to be remembered for tomorrow, while going unnoticed today.
