The Prince of Islay.
It's true what they say: you never forget your first real, true love. Gazing at a beautiful view, a work of art or the smile of a child, we often think back to those wonderful, carefree teenage years because you never forget your first love…Its power, its passion, that mixture of attraction and longing to discover. Then, when we stumble across something that stimulates our emotions in a similar way, we tend to tell ourselves that we've fallen in love. Here before us is a simply magnificent spirit. Only Bowmore can produce such rare, unique and unrepeatable inflections. It's the only malt that reveals soupçons of aroma and elegance worthy of a Chardonnay from Burgundy, and an aged one at that. The nose is elegant and fragrant. Rich in tones of white chocolate and pressed powder. The peatiness is subtle, never overpowering. It's explosive and ravaging on the palate, but because of its elegance and roundness, not the usual brute force of peaty malts.
It leaves such a succulent aftertaste, we rush to grab the bottle…
… in the hope it isn't finished.
