Time goes by. Time flies. Time changes…
Dear friends, 1992 seems like yesterday, whereas twenty-five years have actually gone by, a quarter of a century… We wonder, as we bring this glass to our nose, whether this rum is a classic Jamaica: perhaps it's not the same as last time, or perhaps we're the ones who have changed. You see, this spirit demands a rather metaphysical approach. This particular rum is one we've tried to deliver with the minimum interference possible, so it's practically the same as when drawn from the cask in May 2017. A sparkling, pungent nose… dominant Sicilian aromas like almonds, marzipan, sesame and Mediterranean spices. Mature and solid, with good depth and oiliness. All characteristics resulting from the baggage acquired from all this time spent ageing. On the palate it's complete, rewarding and so fragrant as to overshadow the alcohol. Rich, lavish tastes from a Parisian boulangerie in full swing on a Sunday morning. Tones of yeast, vanilla and croissants are a perfect corollary to hints of mint, mimosa and spring flowers. You approach it with gluttony and leave it feeling fully satisfied and won over.
