The Caribbean's answer to Speyside…
Always there standing tall, clear, serious, powerful and mysterious. It rewards us without gimmicks, without asking permission. It's simply immune to other people's thoughts. It's almost as if it's made of ice and methane… a dedicated futurist. An opening rich in modern, metallic and fleeting scents. The opulence, the oiliness, the “superfluous” has all been left in the wood that accompanied it thus far. Ink hot off the press. Veering, a few moments later, to the classic tones of this “Speyside” of the Caribbean. Tones of freshly kneaded dough, citrusy, almost candied notes. Aniseed, cinnamon, lime and honey vie for position, overlapping on our palate and leaving a mineral, salty trail.
"We stand on the last promontory of the centuries!... Why should we look back, when what we want is to break down the mysterious doors of the Impossible?"
From the Manifesto of Futurism –Gazzetta dell’Emilia – Bologna 05 February 1909
